Marc Rosen, JCPenney CEO, is all about focusing on the budget-conscious consumer and families looking for affordable home accessories, beauty items and clothes for work and at home.
That customer base is already shopping at the 120-year old retailer's stores, he told the Wall Street Journal, and he isn't seeking to win over new customers or the young crowd.
His strategy also includes enhancing the online shopping experience and expanding the beauty product portfolio.
"The biggest difference this time is we are loving those who love us," Rosen told the news outlet, adding, "we need to give them more opportunity to come back and find things they love."
