The love affair between retailers and Pinterest is heating up, as more brands are using the social media platform to not only engage with consumers but also as a launch pad for new products.
According to a post on Mashable, J.Crew launched its September issue catalog Monday morning on Pinterest — and in doing so has become the first clothing brand to debut its catalog on an image-based network.
In addition to the catalog debut on Pinterest, J.Crew is dipping its toes into even more social outlets. On Aug. 22 the company will begin promoting its in-store style sessions via Instagram and beginning in September, the retailer will produce a "Fashion Week Diary" on Tumblr, the article reported.
