J.Crew launching global e-commerce site

J.Crew is expanding its international distribution from 29 to 107 countries, reaching customers throughout Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and South America and transacting in 41 local currencies, according to a company press release.

"We are on a mission to provide customers around the world with the best-of-the-best — we have created an experience that is equally as rich online as in store and are excited to introduce J.Crew to new customers worldwide," Millard Drexler, chairman and CEO of J.Crew Group, Inc, said in the release.

J.Crew is leading the expansion with its e-commerce site, allowing customers exclusive access to its entire collection. The next phase in the company's expansion plans will include opening specialty stores in select markets in Europe and Asia over the next several years.
