Watson, the IBM supercomputer that beat the two winningest Jeopardy contestants at their own game in 2011 is headed to your smartphone.
Business Insider recently spoke to IBM Watson Solutions VP Stephen Gold, who told the website that the natural language technology under Watson's hood is being worked into three upcoming apps.
Fluid Expert Personal Shopper will make use of Watson's ability to parse spoken language and enable shoppers to ask the app questions about products and availability, effectively "putting a knowledgeable sales associate in the hands of consumers, on demand."
The second app, Hippocrates, will be a medical research assistant tool, while CafeWell Concierge will "create personalized health itineraries for people looking to stay fit."
