Joann ramps up early for holiday sales with big hiring kickoff

Arts and crafts retailer Joann is kicking off hiring for the holiday sales season early and plans to hire mor than 5,000 team members for a variety of roles.
A national hiring event is planned for Sept. 7 and 21, according to a press release.
Employment benefits include "an inspiring work environment," according to the release.
"We are thrilled to bring on thousands of new JOANN Team Members to make the store experience great as customers gear up for a Handmade Holiday," Chris DiTullio, CEO, said in the release.
In addition to its everyday 30% team member discount, all employees will receive increased savings during the months of November and December, as Joann raises that percentage to 40%.
