Kohl's hires new finance leader

Bruce Besanko will begin his new job as Kohl's CFO come July 10.

Besanko, who previously worked for Supervalu Inc. for the past four years as CFO and COO, has also served as OfficeMax's finance chief, according to a CNBC report.

"I have admired Kohl's business model for years and am enthusiastic about the future the company is creating, really differentiating itself as a bright spot in retail," Besanko said in a statement. "Kohl's has an excellent reputation in the financial community and I look forward to joining the company."

Current CFO Wesley McDonald is retiring after 14 years with the company.
