Kroger, Alibaba in talks on partnership, claims report

Kroger and Alibaba are reportedly discussing a partnership, according to CNBC.

The U.S. supermarket chain and Chinese ecommerce conglomerate reportedly met in China, although the report indicates there were no high-level executive discussions.

The news comes about a year after Amazon acquired the high-end supermarket chain Whole Foods.
