Grocery retailer, Kroger, will establish its first customer fulfillment center, boasting digital and robotic capabilities, in Ohio via partnership with Ocado, an online grocery retailer.
The $55 million center, which will create 410 jobs in southwest Ohio, will house a 335,00-square-foot automated warehouse facility, according to a press release.
"Kroger is joining with the best partners in the world to co-innovate and leverage technology to redefine the customer experience," said Rodney McMullen, Kroger's chairman and CEO, in the release. "This Kroger shed, powered by Ocado, will accelerate our ability to provide customers with anything, anytime and anywhere."
