Lexstores, a Netherlands-based automated retail technology provider, has introduced its freestanding unmanned stores managed by a cloud-based IT platform and an order system based on QR codes and RFID technology, according to an email sent to this website.

The company provides solutions in the rental, lease, sales, IT, services and industrial sectors.

The company offers its automated stores in three sizes — small, medium and large. The medium and large come with a surveillance system.

"Lexstores offers a low-threshold solution for small to large enterprises," Menno Molendijk, commercial manager at the company, said in the announcement. "With our unmanned rental and sales locations linked to our cloud-based Lex-IT platform, we are able to help businesses set up their services more efficiently and cost-effectively to grow faster."

"At our plant, it is a coming and going of various contractors," a petrochemical company spokesperson said in the email. "They need all kinds of equipment day and night and with these stores we can meet their needs completely flexibly, without having to worry about it in the broadest sense of the word."
