When it comes to shopping, U.S. consumers don't like long queues in the store or frozen check-out during online shopping and both are top 'shopping stressors,' according to a Clicktale survey that polled over 1,000 U.S. consumers online and in the store.
Of those surveyed, 77 percent reported high levels of stress when a retail app freezes during checkout and the figure spiked to 86 percent for those shopping via a web browser, according to a release on the survey.
"Despite a growing focus on customer experience in retail, it's a shame to see so many consumers are still finding shopping a stressful experience. It's also surprising to see that — despite e-commerce being positioned as more convenient — online shopping is proving just as stressful as going in store," said Geoff Galat, CMO at Clicktale, in the release.
