High-end clothing retailer Lululemon Athletica is creating a brand-new brand role and at the same time bidding farewell to its product leader.
To boost the brand, Lululemon is moving current senior vice president in charge of female wear, Lee Holman, into the job of creative direction, according to a Wall Street Journal report. Holman joined Lululemon in 2014 and according to the WSJ he’s held similar creative roles at Burberry Group and Nike and will report to CEO Laurent Potdevin.
Simultaneously, Tara Poseley, who was serving as product chief, is leaving and Lululemon is also creating another new role, focused on boosting shipping and delivery strategies. The latter move, according to the WSJ, is due to challenges the company has had with supply-chain management issues and overseas production.
Poseley has been on the job for two years and served as a senior Sears leader in her most previous role.
In other internal operations moves, Lululemon is promoting Tom Waller to senior vice president to run the company’s research and development lab, called Whitespace. The WSJ report stated the retailer is also actively searching to hire on a chief supply chain offer.
