Macy's alerts customers to credit card data breach

A small number of Macy's.com and Bloomingdales.com customer data was breached between late April and mid June.

Customers were informed of the data breach via a letter, according to USA Today.

The retailer did not specify how many customers were impacted except to state it affected "one half of one percent of logged in users," and is offering free consumer protection plans to those customers.
