Many retailers struggle, but Walmart is hiring

Forbes: While many employers are firing, Wal-Mart is hiring. The retailer says it plans to create 22,000 U.S. jobs this year.

But the retail sector remains under pressure. Target and Costco reported steep declines in May same-store sales. Target's sales fell 6.1 percent, while discount retailer Costco saw sales drop seven percent.
