MAPCO appoints Charles Adams as CEO

MAPCO, which operates 350 convenience stores in the southeast region of the U.S., has hired Charles Adams as its new CEO.

Adams has more than three decades of experience in the industry and aims to drive the company's cultural transformation to be a "people-first organization," according to a press release.

Adams began his convenience store career as a night shift associate, working his way up to president of retail operations at CST Brands, an international convenience store chain with 2,000 stores and 13,000 people, before joining MAPCO.
