Commerce Department data reveals U.S. retails sales in March grew at the fastest pace since the end of 2017, jumping 1.6% compared to February.
The spike, according to a Fox News report, is due to increased sales on clothing, furniture, cars and gasoline.
In the retail clothing industry sellers reported a 2% jump and furniture sellers saw a 1.7% increase, according to the report, which noted retail spending has grown 3.6% in the past year.
