Flint Mobile Tuesday announced the integration of its no-card-reader mobile payment app with Intuit's QuickBooks Online, expediting end-to-end operations for small businesses that work outside traditional storefront environments, according to a press release.
Flint said in the release it is the only mobile phone-based payment app that automatically syncs all transactions, line item information and customer information with the user's QuickBooks Online account, eliminating manual data entry while also providing detailed reporting and customer history tracking not available with other platform integrations.
Flint said these features extend its benefits for mobile business management, including the ability to take payments by scanning the card number with the camera instead of swiping with extra hardware, send invoices for easy online bill payment, handle cash and checks as well as card payments, and manage customized coupons with Apple Passbook integration. Merchants can begin accepting payments instantly with no need for a merchant account or waiting period for hardware delivery. The app is free to download with transaction fees of 1.95 percent for debit card payments, 2.95 percent for credit cards, and no fees for managing cash, checks, invoices or coupons.
QuickBooks Online customers who have not yet adopted Flint for their mobile payment needs can activate accounts in less than two minutes as part of the integration process. The solution is available free of charge on Intuit's apps.com marketplace at http://appcenter.intuit.com/flint.
"Intuit is committed to creating a powerful ecosystem of integrated apps for our millions of QuickBooks customers," Ronny Tey, group marketing manager for QuickBooks Apps.com, said in a press release. "For many service businesses, integrating QuickBooks Online with a mobile payment application brings big efficiency gains. Having Flint integrated into the QuickBooks Ecosystem will help many of these businesses work faster and smarter."
