Microsoft, after temporarily closing stores at the onset of the coronavirus in late March, is now planning to permanently shutter nearly every store it runs across the globe.
The move, according to a New York Post report, is being described by Microsoft as a "strategic change" in its retail roadmap. The company has 83 stores globally, 72 of which are located in the U.S.
Microsoft is keeping open four key 'experience centers' as well the store at its Redmond, Washington headquarters, according to the report.
