Misery loves retail therapy

Telegraph: Shoppers are more likely to indulge in retail therapy when they are down in the dumps, psychologists have confirmed. Those who were feeling dejected were willing to spend almost three times as much on a product as those who said they were in a neutral mood. Researchers believe this is because people who are in a sad mood feel they are worthless and value products more.
