Online gift registry site MyRegistry.com recently announced a new partnership with Birthday Calendar, a division of Big Dates Solutions Inc., the birthday reminder service with more than 40 million Facebook users.
This partnership is now offering users of Birthday Calendar the opportunity to create a universal birthday wish list exclusively with MyRegistry.com. This alliance also allows Birthday Calendar users to view their friend’s wish lists directly on MyRegistry.com’s Facebook application and to easily purchase them a gift, simplifying the gift giving process.
Birthday Calendar, with more than 4 million monthly users in more than 200 countries, is translated into 25 languages. Its rapidly growing customer base is alerted to upcoming events such as birthdays or other gift-giving occasions. MyRegistry.com, a universal gift registry system, enables its members to create wish lists and gift registries by choosing items from any store in the world and housing them on one cohesive gift list.
“Following weddings and baby showers, birthdays were the next logical target area for our company,” MyRegistry.com founder and CEO Oded Berkowitz said in the announcement. “Everyone wants to know what to get their friends and family for these occasions, and connecting their wish lists directly to the premier service that reminds you of the upcoming birthday simplifies everyone’s lives.”
Facebook users can now easily access these two services together through Birthday Calendar’s Facebook application. In the event that the upcoming birthday person does not have a wish list at MyRegistry.com yet, users can send them an invitation to easily create one right through the interface.
“Virtual gifts and cards have been popular through Birthday Calendar since its inception, but we are excited that with MyRegistry.com our application will be far more helpful when it comes to purchasing real gifts for friends’ birthdays,” Big Dates Solutions President Paul Love said.
