NCR Voyix AI-powered self-checkout system targets c-stores

NCR Voyix Corp. has introduced an automated, artificial intelligence-powered bulk scanning self-checkout solution for convenience stores.
The system, piloted at a Phillips 66-branded Mach 1 station since November, is available for pre-order, according to a CSP Daily News report.
NCR Voyix Halo Checkout utilizes AI to identify products, aiming to streamline the customer experience. The checkout system integrates with Everseen's Evershow technology, enabling cameras to recognize products placed in any orientation on the checkout machine and instantly scan them to an itemized list, providing an accurate total amount due. The system can scan up to 20 products simultaneously.
"Customers want a checkout process that prioritizes them as shoppers, and NCR Voyix Halo delivers exactly that," Alan Meyer, CEO of Mach 1 Stores, told the news outlet. "Shorter transaction times mean happier customers and more productive store operations."
