The Neiman Marcus Group announced that it would begin offering free standard shipping and returns for all domestic purchases made online and in-store. The service will also apply to the Bergdorf Goodman store and website.
Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman have been making a push over the past year to improve the shopping experience for its customers. Store associates were armed with smartphones loaded with apps to help them stay in touch with customers about alterations, merchandise delivery and new items of interest, according to a news release.
In addition, iPads were installed in select departments in all stores to give customers endless aisle access to inventory located both online and in-store.
The companies also launched the Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman replenishment service, which allows online customers to have beauty essentials and other items automatically shipped to them at select intervals.
"The customer has always been at the center of the Neiman Marcus business model. Permanent free shipping and returns have been a top request and we are happy to be able to make this change just in time for the holiday shopping season," said Wanda Gierhart, chief marketing officer, Neiman Marcus Group.
