Neiman Marcus' recent layoffs included staff called service ambassadors that handle returns and the move isn't sitting well with remaining workers, according to a New York Post report.
The ambassadors greeted customers and helped process returned goods and that work is now falling to sales reps who work on a commission basis, according to the news outlet.
"I avoid eye contact if I see someone come in the door with a lot of boxes," a sales rep told The Post.
The company didn't immediately respond to a Post request for comment, according to the news outlet.
