Neiman Marcus is moving into China's fast-growing luxury retail market via the Web, according to a story on Reuters.
The high-end retailer is sinking $28 million ito the website Glamour Sales Holding in hopes of establishing its e-commerce brand in China by the end of 2012. The site will not only sell current-season merchandise but will also provide fashion advice and behind-the-scenes videos.
The investment, Reuters said, is also aimed at fueling growth in Glamour Sales' flash sales business, where online retailers provide limited-time discount offers on certain products.
