As college students head back to campus this fall, social commerce website Shop Your Way is giving them and their parents an easier way to coordinate shopping lists and to see what one another are buying. The free shopping community run by Sears Holding Corp. offers rewards and personalized deals and information.
Instead of shopping in a brick-and-mortar location, consumers can shop at shopyourway.com and then pick up their purchases at the Sears or Kmart closest to their campus. Alternatively, with big buys like TVs and furniture, college co-eds can take advantage of dorm room delivery and have many items delivered right to their doorstep.
The website allows users to join social networks, get advice from their friends and roommates, and see what one another is buying before they go back to class.
