Target is aiming to expand and strengthen its grocery business and has hired on two new leaders to make it happen.
Former General Mills leader Liz Nordlie is taking on a new role of vice president of product design and development for food and beverage, according to a press release. Mark Kenny, a former Walmart leader focused on private brands in bakery and deli, will be Target's vice president in charge of deli, meat, seafood, prepared foods and bakery, according to the report.
"We have been making positive progress with our assortment, presentation and operations in food and beverage this year," Mark Tritton, Target executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, said in the release.
