Nike chief stepping down in new year

Nike CEO Mark Parker will step down in January and be replaced by former eBay CEO John Donahoe. The news comes on the heels of Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank moving out of his role in 2020.

The leadership change, according to a Business Insider report citing analyst insight, comes as Nike aims to step up its digital strategy and expand its direct-to-consumer business channel.
