Nordstrom pilots omnichannel customer strategy

Nordstrom is debuting an omnichannel effort that lets Washington-based shoppers choose an item online and then try in their local sore.

The 'Reserve & Try In Store' program, according to Geek Wire, works off the retailer's app and is available to shoppers at the retailer's western Washington stores, including its Seattle-based flagship location.

"We realize that customers want to shop on their terms," Shea Jensen, VP of customer experience at Nordstrom, told Geek Wire. "Reserve & Try In Store is a way to help make the shopping experience easier for customers who like to touch, feel and try on items before buying them. We hope it helps combine the convenience of shopping online with a quick and efficient in-store experience."
