Mooresville, North Carolina's Shop N Save market has deployed digital signage featuring a digital message center built by Watchfire. Owners report they are already seeing an uptick in customer traffic, according to a company press release.
The freestanding monument sign includes a double-sided 3-foot, 5-inch by 9-foot, 3-inch 9'3" 8mm full-color LED sign. Beneath the digital board are three 12-inch Watchfire Price Watcher signs in routed aluminum cabinets, according to the company.
The signage replaces a tall gas price sign that had been in place at market, which offers a boutique grocery, convenience store and gas station.
The market owners said the sign is driving more customer traffic as they are now able to advertise items, such as fresh salmon, along with promoting the fact that the market sells more than 250 kinds of wine.
"We never had a good way to advertise what is inside the store," co-owner Penny Price said in the release. "After installing our digital sign, we have customers come in who have been buying gas from us for years and they tell us they never knew what was inside."
The store also advertises specials for various holidays, and uses the board to post messages of support for the community.
The sign was designed and installed by Atlantic Sign Media Inc. of Burlington, North Carolina.
"The return on investment for this sign was very attractive, and it made perfect sense for the store to invest in today's technology to help increase sales," market owner, Joe Rickman said in the release.
