Customers accumulating Price Chopper/Market 32 rewards points can now support local schools, pay down loans, make charitable donations, buy special kitchen products and even enter sweepstakes.
It's all due to the expansion of the chain's AdvantEdge Rewards program, done in partnership with tcc, a provider of currency/rewards program for grocers, according to a press release.
The expanded options, which also offer a mobile-based personalized customer experience, were launched to members this month. Customers continue to earn a point for every dollar spent shopping in-store and online at Price Chopper/Market 32.
"Price Chopper Supermarkets/Market 32 is laser-focused on fulfilling the needs and desires of our customers at every point of engagement. We understand that all shoppers are different, so we created a variety of options to engage and reward more customers. And because we know our customers appreciate the convenience of accessing and redeeming points whenever and wherever they like, we made the experience fully mobile," Glen Bradley, group vice president of marketing, Price Chopper Supermarkets/Market 32, said in the release.
Based in Schenectady, New York, Price Chopper/Market 32 operates 131 supermarkets, employing 18,000 teammates, in New York, Vermont, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
