Notre Dame deploying video display at stadium

August 31, 2017

The University of Notre Dame is installing a big video display system within its stadium to offer attendees "rich visual, information and statistics."

The technology effort is a partnership with ANC, according to a press release.

"Tradition is the cornerstone Notre Dame football," stated Notre Dame in the release. "The seamless integration of the video display system into Notre Dame Stadium will emphasize our tradition by highlighting our legacy through rich visuals, information and statistics."

The video display system is part of a nearly 800,000-square-foot construction project that has added new structures to the west, east and south sides of Notre Dame Stadium, transforming it into a year-round venue. The video display system will be highlighted by the largest 10mm surface mount display in college football, featuring the most physical pixels in an NCAA outdoor venue.

ANC selected Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc.'s Diamond Vision System Division's XL Series featuring Real Black technology for all the displays that will be seamlessly synchronized by ANC's award-winning vSOFT operating system. By featuring physical pixels, the main video display will provide true high-definition visuals exceeding 1080p for video, statistics and other event highlights.
