NRF BIG Show to debut Innovation Station

January 3, 2010

It's where ideas become realities, where problems become solutions and where retailers can essentially meet a real-life solution provider who can offer answers to today's biggest business challenges. It's the Innovation Station on the EXPO floor at the National Retail Federation's 99th Annual Convention and EXPO. The four-day convention takes place January 10-13 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City. The EXPO floor during the event will be open Monday, January 11 from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday, January 12 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Nestled between other specialty pavilions on the 160,000-square-foot EXPO floor, the Innovation Station, which was produced in partnership with Creative Realities, brings together retailers with their solution providers in an exciting, unique and open space designed to assist retailers with their everyday challenges as well as new challenges, such as how to use social media and maximizing mobile retailing. Gilbert Displays is responsible for the Innovation Station fabrication.

Featured technologies include social media tracking, customer kiosks, virtual dressing room platforms, ROI analytics, RFID tools, in-store marketing solutions, electronic shelf labels, mobile applications, loyalty programs, mobile concierge and product-review technology.

Thus far, participating sponsors include: Creative Realities, Gilbert Displays, Bazaarvoice, Bizerba, ClubCard, Infosys, Mall America, Navteq, richrelevance and ZBD. In addition, IBM and its Alliance Partners have come together to provide even more innovations; IBM+ Cisco, IBM+ CrossView and IBM+ Maxxing.
