Construction work at New York's Penn Station will prompt the closure of nearly a dozen retailers currently operating in one of the city’s top transit hubs.
New elevator banks for commuter access to Seventh Avenue and 33rd Street will mean Tracks Raw Bar & Grill, a 17-year-old tavern and one of the most popular station establishments, will be closing as of Aug. 31 due to the work project, according to a New York Post report.
A McDonald's and Dunkin’ shop will also be closing due to the construction. It is unknown whether the retail and restaurants will have an opportunity to reopen once the project is completed, according to the report.
