Pan-Oston delivers Ergolane checkout design to Europe

May 12, 2009

Pan-Oston ErgolaneBOWLING GREEN, Ken. — Pan-Oston, designer, developer and manufacturer of retail checkout products, has announced that the first international export order for Ergolane has just shipped to Belgium.

Ergolane, developed after years of research and introduced in October 2008, is the first major design change for checkout lanes in over 40 years. Ergolane enhances worker comfort, helps achieve outstanding throughput levels, shortens checkout transaction times and is the only checkout lane that provides full ADA accessibility for both cashiers and customers.

Well-known grocery industry expert and trend spotter Phil Lempert, a.k.a. "The Supermarket Guru," says Pan-Oston's Ergolane is the most ergonomic and space saving checkout lane on the market today and one that truly enhances the customer's shopping experience.

Ergolane is ergonomically designed with a low profile and contemporary inviting contours. Its unique "cashier cockpit" ensures that the cashier always faces the customer and that all peripherals as well as the six-bag carousel are always in arms reach. Ergolane cabinets are finished in an electro-statically applied powder-paint and the surface is made of high density polyethylene (HDPE), which makes it the only checkout lane that currently meets the LEED rating system requirements for environmentally friendly products.
