Philipinas Shell aims to make gas fill-ups a more rewarding retail experience

Shell stations in certain Philippine locations will be much more than gas bay sites.

February 24, 2016

Drivers wanting to make better use of the gas pit-stop time are the focus for Shell in the Lapu-lapu city in the Philippines as Shell is revamping stations into delicatessens for road warriors.

Pilipinas Shell has already opened its first Deli2Go station and plans to debut dozens more in a quest to give motorists an opportunity to grab food, drink and snacks while at the pump, according to a Cebu Daily News report.

"We at Shell understand that the needs of our customers are evolving. And in continuously putting our customers at the heart of our business, we aim to provide them with our newest offerings at Deli2Go. We ensure that our food here is not compromising the taste and quality that Filipinos deserve," Anthony Lawrence Yam, VP for retail, told Cebu Daily News.

Shell is targeting to open 50 Deli2Go stores nationwide.
