Piggly Wiggly Midwest will continue its e-commere experience via the Mercatus Integrated Commerce platform as it has renewed its partnership with the technology provider.
The platform, deployed in 2017, provides grocery shoppers with a seamless experience, and the grocer will continue to offer curbside pickup at 27 of its 96 locations, according to a press release.
Piggly Wiggly is also planning to launch Mercatus Digital Advertising, which offers a high-conversion, point-of-purchase digital advertising program, according to the release. The program aims to enhance the shopper experience with relevant product advertisements and discoverability opportunities for shoppers.
"Throughout this relationship, our shoppers have enjoyed an advanced and reliable e-commerce experience, all under the Piggly Wiggly name they love," Bill Bell, director of information technology, Piggly Wiggly Midwest, said in the release. "Whether it is improving its existing solutions or adding new capabilities to its platform, Mercatus is constantly innovating. We look forward to continuing our shared e-commerce vision and partnership to the benefit of Piggly Wiggly's valued customers."
