Pilot Travel Centers has unveiled a 20,000-plus-square-foot flagship store while also undertaking widespread store modernization efforts and expanded services as well as connecting EV charging station on national and regional travel routes.
"Expanding into new communities and modernizing our locations are key to our strategy," Brad Anderson, chief operating officer at Pilot, said in a press release on the brand's actions. "Each new location and remodel reflects our ambition to be the leading energy and experience provider, equipping drivers with everything they need to recharge and hit the road ready for what's next."
The flagship travel center is located in Stanton, Tennessee, and is the largest in Pilot's network. It features a bolder brand-forward design, a guest-focused layout with inviting spaces and expanded fresh food offerings.
More than 200 Pilot and Flying J locations have been upgraded to date as part of the company's New Horizons initiative. Pilot's guests shared that they are 80% more likely to return after visiting a remodeled location, underscoring the program's impact and value, according to the press release.
So far this year the company has completed 11 remodels, extensively upgrading restrooms and showers, expanding kitchens and implementing thoughtful layouts to create a more seamless and consistent experience for guests and team members.
