GiftLogic recently began offering a touchscreen interface as an optional component of its hardware bundle for use with GiftLogic POS software, the company announced in a press release. According to a GiftLogic spokesperson, "This touchscreen with its large icons and integrated shortcuts expedites transaction times, allowing cashiers to quickly process orders and move customers through checkout lines more efficiently."
GiftLogic POS software includes back- and front-office features including cash register, inventory management, purchasing and receiving, and reports. Optional modules are also available, allowing merchants to add credit card processing, gift registry, gift cards, layaway, consignment, time clock, QuickBooks integration, e-commerce, and other features as needed.
The touchscreen interface is a 21.5-inch touch monitor from Dell. "We chose to support the Dell S2240T touch screen monitor for several reasons," the spokesperson explained. "Not only is it stylish and compatible with Windows 7, Windows 8, and GiftLogic POS, it's also the perfect size for an in-store checkout counter. The screen's generous real estate allows for the display of GiftLogic's new quick access bar. Merchants can create highly visual shortcuts for their most popular items. At the point of sale, the cashier simply touches the appropriate icon to ring up the sale."
GiftLogic POS software runs on the latest Windows operating systems, which have built-in support for touchscreens. The spokesperson was quick to note that merchants who add the Dell S2240T touchscreen interface to their GiftLogic POS system do not need to install additional software.
