Social commerce platform Poshmark has launched Home Market, an in-app marketplace for buying, selling and engaging when it comes to home décor.
The market strategy is related to consumer demand as home goods was one of the most highly requested categories from Poshmark community members, according to a press release. It also marks Poshmark's first expansion beyond fashion and makeup.
"With the launch of the Home Market, we're taking our first step into broader lifestyle categories and expanding our social marketplace beyond the closet," said Manish Chandra, founder and CEO of Poshmark, in the release. "This market launch reiterates the power of Posh Markets to scale social commerce and enables Poshmark to continue transforming the e-commerce experience."
Home Market inventory includes everything from wall art to party supplies,.
Since launching in 2011, the Poshmark social shopping community boasts 5 million seller stylists helping 50 million shoppers discover items from over 75 million listings.
