Australian retailer Kogan is already taking pre-orders for unlocked versions of the newly unveiled iPhone 5, according to an article on cnet.com.
Although the retailer said it doesn't plan to ship the new iPhones until Sept. 21, the same day as Apple, Aussie residents will get $100 knocked off of the price tag through purchasing from Kogan. With no plans to ship outside of the country, there is little chance that the discount option will have an impact in the U.S.
