Proximity verification provider teams with Clear on frictionless checkout

Lisnr, a provider of proximity verification in the retail, transportation, events and financial services markets, has teamed with Clear, the identity verification provider, to create a safer and more frictionless checkout experience for age-gated purchases across the retail landscape, according to a press release.

Lisnr will leverage Clear's age verification product to streamline and elevate consumer experiences by allowing retail partners to verify a customer's age instead of manually checking an ID.

Lisnr's non-captive near-field association provides proof-present authentication enabled through proximity tokens. From entry validation to payments and fulfillment, Lisnr empowers merchant micro-moments across the customer journey.

Pairing Clear's age verification product with Lisnr's data-over-sound technology allows retailers to increase operational efficiency and safety while eliminating fraud.
