Retail Anywhere, a provider of point of sale and retail management systems for midsize retailers, today announced a new integration of its retail software solutions with ShopIgniter to deliver social, cross-channel retailing.
ShopIgniter, a company with a social focus on eCommerce, makes reaching social media retailing channels easy and immediate by leveraging Rest Web Services technology, Dan Warner, co-founder and CTO of ShopIgniter, said in a press release.
Integrated with Retail Anywhere Point of Sale, the solution offers real-time, location based inventory to shoppers buying through cross-channel, social commerce sites hosted by ShopIgniter, reducing shipping time and cost.
"Customers expect products to be in-stock, and at a location near them. Retail Anywhere integrates with ShopIgniter to enable real-time inventory control for enterprise brands and retailers, so that when they use the social graph to promote a product - the customer is more likely to buy," Warner said in the release.
Retail Anywhere offers complete inventory matrix visibility and streamlined maintenance through Retail Anywhere Enterprise, including maintaining Web-store promotions, gift cards and customer relationship management (CRM). By working with ShopIgniter, Retail Anywhere customers can entice shoppers through social media sites, such as Facebook, with tools including merchandising in social storefronts, social marketing, coupon outreach, social sharing and friend-to-friend promotion referrals.
Social and eCommerce orders are automatically downloaded to Retail Anywhere POS where they are easily processed and fulfilled. After processing, Retail Anywhere Point of Sale communicates order status back to ShopIgniter notifying the customer without the need for additional integration with a third-party email system.
"Customers buying from a ShopIgniter social storefront that's integrated with Retail Anywhere will have access to the fastest, lowest-cost shipping options for their purchases. Shipping costs are always top of mind for consumers as they complete transactions, and it's important to deliver options that don't sour the overall shopping experience," Warner said.
