The Tennessean: The medical profession should not be surprised that small, convenient retail clinics are popping up as popular destinations for patients. The clinics are symptomatic of everything else in time-demanding everyday life. But they are especially symptomatic of the way people are looking for alternatives to the health-care experience. What patients want is dependable, hassle-free care, and the retail clinics increasingly look like what the patient, if not the doctor, ordered.
