Retailer rolls out in-store robotics to improve operational efficiency

Stine LLC is rolling out in-store robotics from Badger Technologies within stores to detect out-of-stock products and improve price-tag accuracy.

Based in Sulphur, Louisiana, the 13-store hardware-retail chain serves customers throughout Louisiana and Mississippi with home-improvement products and building material supplies. The multipurpose robots also check on item locations, according to a press release.

The robotics were driven by the retailer's commitment to associates and customers.

"We always look for innovative ways to increase productivity by removing operational obstacles," Robert Spears, CIO, Stine, said in the release. "Badger Technologies' robots free our associates from time-consuming inventory checks, enabling them to help customers while ensuring our products are placed and priced correctly."
