Macy's is just one retailer hoping its new digital shopping experience will lure younger shoppers. The store, according to the dailymail.co.uk, will soon offer virtual mannequins, digital "endless aisles," and in-store cloud computing, hoping to engage the Generation Y shopper, who is used to smartphones, tablets and social media.
Macy's is also one of a handful of retailers partnering with the Google Wallet payment system that transforms smartphones into payment tools, according to the story. By early next year, Macy's customers will be able to digitally pay their bills, search customer reviews and create shopping lists of store items on Facebook, all while shopping at Macy's.
