Branding Brand, a mobile commerce platform, has released the results of its Mobile Commerce Index for March 2014. The exclusive data sample details a steep rise in smartphone-generated traffic, orders, and revenue by consumers to retailer smartphone-optimized websites from March 2014 vs. March 2013.
Compared with 2013, the Branding Brand Mobile Commerce Index shows the following year-over-year differentiation in March 2014 for the 18 clients tracked:

Year-over-year mobile growth rates from March 2013 to March 2014
In March 2014, smartphones generated 29.4 percent of total online visits, up 42.7 percent from March 2013 (62.9 percent iOS, 36.4 percent Android). The market share of non-mobile (desktop) visits decreased 21.1 percent from March 2013 to March 2014.
