Sam’s Club celebrates 40th birthday with membership discount

Consumers who have never been Sam's Club members are getting a reward incentive as the wholesaler celebrates its 40th birthday.

Walmart's warehouse is offering a $40 discount off its membership, good through Wednesday, bringing the yearly price to $10. Those willing to spend $30 will get the "plus" membership which offers free shipping, according to a WGNTV report. The usual membership prices are $50 and $110.

The rewards incentive comes just weeks after Walmart announced that its retail stores and Sam's Club locations will install EV charging stations at thousands of locations nationwide by 2030.
