M&Co, a Scottish retailer, is shuttering all its 170 stores and its brand has been bought by AK Retail Holdings which owns several clothing brands. The deal did not include M&Co's brick-and-mortar stores, according a report at The Guardian.
The closures mean the loss of 1,900 jobs and AK Retail has stated it is not taking on the company's head office staff.
The retailer had previously closed 47 shops three years ago. Other notable retailers to close include Topshop and Debenhams.
