Seattle Macy's historic store to close early next year

The Macy's store in downtown Seattle will close its doors next February, after a 90-year period of retail activity at the site.

The block-long building, which Macy's owned and has sold, also houses Amazon operational staff, according to a Seattle Times report. The online retailer began leasing the top six floors two years ago.
