Second Time Around taps Retail Anywhere for new POS, management solution

Retail Anywhere, a provider of point of sale and retail management systems for midsize retailers, today announced that Second Time Around of Boston has selected its next-generation POS and retail management solution.

Second Time Around's retail system will be replaced with IBM SurePOS 300 hardware and Retail Anywhere's software suite, using the software-as-a-service (SaaS) delivery model. The SaaS model from Retail Anywhere includes a hybrid of on-demand and on-premise software along with professional services, upgrades, maintenance and support.

"After a comprehensive search for a new retail POS system, we found Retail Anywhere to be the best fit and provider for our multi-location retail consignment business," said Howie Green, CFO for Second Time Around. "With the new system in place we'll have chain-wide visibility and real-time information enabling us to make better business decisions."

Second Time Around has 25 stores located in the United States and features consignment items from designers such as Chanel, Diane von Furstenberg and Marc Jacobs. It has a active consignor base of more than 50,000.
