Shoes.com prepping for bankruptcy

Without any forewarning, Shoes.com shuttered its business in late January and closed two brick-and-mortar locations as well as two other off-shoot shoe sites, according to a Chain Store Age report.

The report states the online shoe seller is liquidating assets and working on a bankruptcy strategy.
